We are watching this with a lot of interest. Ever since I watched an excellent presentation by ANU some years ago I personally think pumped storage or some equivalent is a clean way ahead. Our only concern is the potential to disrupt a market and drive down investment in other renewable technologies. I get even more concerned when I see beurocracies interfering in a market. I for one am really looking forward to a review of this scheme in a years time. Important lessons for Australia.
